-
Axial Fan
They cause air to flow in a direction parallel to the shaft which the blades rotate. They are designed for low pressure applications.
-
Centrifugal Fan
These are fans where air is drawn via impellers before being released to the opposite side. They are known to generate more pressure and are usually installed in in applications with high static pressure.
-
Turbine Ventilator
These are ventilators which are rotated by wind to extract hot stale air through the roof of buildings. They apply the principle of stack effect where hot air becomes lighter and naturally rise to the top of the room. The wind blows the ventilators which rotates and in the process get rids of the hot air. They should be combined with hollow block walls to act as a source of air to replace the extracted hot air.
