The system cools indoor air through a refrigeration cycle, removing heat and maintaining a desired temperature. Air conditioning systems come in various types and are essential for enhancing comfort, productivity, and indoor air quality in different environments.
-
4 Way Air Diffusers
These are square shaped air terminal devices that throw air at an angle of 45° and in four directions from the center. This makes them distribute air evenly across a given radius from the point of installation. Ideal for tempered air supply in mixed ventilation systems.
-
Air Cooled Chillers
These are equipment with a heat exchanger which on one side uses hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant to cool water from the building. The chiller usually has cooling coils and fans. The fans suck air through the cooling coils before releasing it at the top. They are usually installed at the highest point of the building, in open space, to necessitate the heat exchange with the ambiance.
-
Air Curtain
Air curtain are usually meant to form a barrier between two spaces especially in situations where the door cannot be kept closed all the time. They prevent tampered air from leaving an enclosed space and unconditioned air from entering the air conditioned room. They also help to prevent dust from entering a given space. Commonly found above the doors of banks, supermarkets or shops whose doors remain open for the better part of their operation.
-
Air Handling Unit
This is an equipment that draws air from one end, cools it or heats it, before releasing it at the other end at high pressure. Usually used in central air conditioning systems where large volumes of air need to be cooled at ones like in malls, auditoriums and stadia.
-
Anti-vibration mountings
These are accessories used to prevent the transfer of vibrations from a given equipment to the building. They come in different varieties where some are used for hanging while others laid just below the equipment.
-
Axial Fan
They cause air to flow in a direction parallel to the shaft which the blades rotate. They are designed for low pressure applications.
-
Blast Chillers
Blast chillers are special cold storage facilities that are designed to lower a product temperature rapidly. They are commonly used in the food where the taste of food being preserved is important. Once the right temperatures have been achieved, the product can be transferred to standard freezers for long term storage.
-
Ceiling Cassette AC
This is a type of split air conditioner that has its indoor unit is installed hanging it such that the body is inside the ceiling and the base just underneath. Usually used in large spaces with ceilings installed. Commonly found in banking halls, open offices and boardrooms.
-
Centrifugal Fan
These are fans where air is drawn via impellers before being released to the opposite side. They are known to generate more pressure and are usually installed in in applications with high static pressure.
-
Circular Diffusers
This is a round shaped air terminal devises that throws air into a given space at 45°. Commonly made of extruded aluminum and powder coated.

Refrigeration chamber used for goods storage to slow down chemical and biological processes and increase the products shelf life. The storage temperatures start from around 14° centigrade and can go up to -70° depending on the product.
The walls are usually insulated with the thickness of the insulation material depending with the temperature needed for the particular application. Cold rooms can range from small rooms to large walk in warehouses.
-
Cold Room Condensing Unit
It is also known as compressing unit or simply compressor. It comprises of condenser, compressor, fans, and the control panel. Its heat exchanger is designed to cool down and condense the refrigerant vapor coming from the evaporator into liquid at high temperature and pressure.

These are insulated doors complete with gasket to prevent any infiltration of air to the cold room when the door is closed. They come in different types and sizes. They may be insulating or semi-insulating.
-
Compressors
These are the heart of the refrigeration cycle in any air conditioning equipment. They circulate the refrigerant through the evaporators and condensers to for a refrigeration cycle. They usually come in different varieties including scroll, screw, rotary, semi-hermetic and hermetic.
-
Cooling Towers
These are huge equipment that are field with water and open at the top to the atmosphere. They act as the condensing units for the water cooled chillers by releasing the heat energy the water absorbs from the water cooled chiller’s heat exchanger to the atmosphere.
-
Copper Pipes
These are the standard pipes for most refrigerants. They come in pairs, one for suction line and the other one for liquid line and are usually insulated to ensure the refrigerant does not gain or lose heat to and from the ambience.
-
Data Center Precision Air Conditioner
This is a form of close control air conditioning where the indoor unit is installed such that the cold air is released in isles. The cold air is usually released from below the floor through perforated floor panels. The racks are usually arranged such that they face each other and come with fans for sucking the cold air from the cold isle before releasing them to the hot isle.
The hot isles are usually fitted with grilles, at the roof or close to the roof, that suck the hot air and return it back to the evaporator for cooling. Some evaporators come complete with humidifiers/dehumidifiers.
-
De-humidifier
These are equipment that absorbs excess moisture from the air in an enclosed space without changing the temperature. They suck air from one end dries it before releasing it back. Usually common in regions with high relative humidity or in applications that require very low humidity levels like in the manufacture of lithium batteries used in cell phones.
-
Disc Valve
These are circular devices with a disc a frame. The discs are usually put in such a way that the gap between it and the frame can be adjusted to control the volume of air through it. The disc is usually made of extruded aluminuim and powder coated while the frame is made of sheet metal. Usually galvanized iron. Used for air extraction in toilets, bathrooms and dump areas.
-
Double Deflection Grill
These are grilles with two deflection rows that permits up to 45° in either one or both planes. Commonly made of extruded aluminium and power coated. Majorly used in ventilation system where they are installed in ceilings, walls or directly on ductwork.
