Fire Extinguishers
These are cylinders that can easily be lifted and used to put off fire before it becomes massive. They are usually strategically positioned near exits to ensure users have high chances of escaping incase fire escalates beyond what the extinguisher can put off. They come in different varieties and each is used depending on the class of fire. They include water, ABC dry powder, carbon dioxide, foam and wet chemical. They usually come in red cylinders that distinguish them from any other cylinder with each type having a different colour code displayed on the cylinder for easy identification.

Fire Suppression System
This is a fire extinguishing system that is automated to detect and suppress fire on its own. The detection line is usually mechanical system comprising of a tight wire rope with fusible links. The fusible links are designed to detach at a certain temperature releasing the rope which triggers the wet chemical in the automan to start flowing out and pour out through the nozzles suffocating the fire by preventing oxygen from reaching the fuel (burning item).
