Double Skin Duct
They are usually two layers of spiral ducts sandwiching insulation sheet layer. Usually used for process control or where tempered air is to be moved over a long distance majorly for system efficiency and effectiveness.
-
Flexible Duct
Usually used to connect air terminal devices to the main ducts. Can either be insulated or non-insulated.
-
Insulated Duct
These are ducts covered by a layer of insulation material. The insulation is meant to prevent the chilled/heated air from losing/gaining heat energy in the process of transportation.
-
Rectangular Duct
These are ducts fabricated from sheet metals which are bent to form a rectangular shape then seemed. They are the most common ducts since they are easy to fabricate and install. Good for areas with headroom challenges since the dimensions can be altered as long as the aspect ratio is not compromised.

Spiral Ducts
This is ducting system where sheet metals are coiled into rigid tubes with a spiral lock seam. The rough part of the seam is usually outside making the inside to have a smooth surface and ideal for air movement. The connection is usually using flanges or couplers.
