These are pressurized substances used to transport heat energy from one point to another in the refrigeration cycle. The varieties include CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs and HCs. Due to global warming challenges CFCs and HCFCs have been banned completely with the masses being encouraged to move from HFCs to HCs.
