Compressors
These are the heart of the refrigeration cycle in any air conditioning equipment. They circulate the refrigerant through the evaporators and condensers to for a refrigeration cycle. They usually come in different varieties including scroll, screw, rotary, semi-hemetic and hermetic.
Refrigerant
These are pressurized substances used to transport heat energy from one point to another in the refrigeration cycle. They varieties including CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs, HCs. Due to global warming challenges CFCs and HCFCs have been banned completely with the masses being encouraged to move from HFCs to HCs.
Isolation Valves
These are devices used to either stop or regulate the flow of fluids in any given system. Usually meant for process control, safety or maintenance works.
PUR Panel
These are polyurethane foams sandwiched between two metal sheets for thermal insulation.
Filter drier
This is a device that is usually installed on the discharge line to absorb any moisture in the refrigerant as well as any particulate matter reducing chances of impurities from getting into the compressor.
Anti-vibration mountings
These are accessories used to prevent the transfer of vibrations from a given equipment to the building. They come in different varieties where some are used for hanging while others laid just below the equipment.
Copper Pipes
These are the standard pipes for most refrigerants. They come in pairs, one for suction line and the other one for liquid line and are usually insulated to ensure the refrigerant does not gain or lose heat to and from the ambience.
Thermal Expansion Valve
It is commonly referred to as TXV. They control the rate of injection of refrigerant into the evaporator in the process protecting the compressor against liquid refrigerant flooding. It helps in energy saving by keeping constant superheat at different loads.
Strip Curtains
These are PVC curtains that are used as secondary air barriers for cold room doors or for cold air containments in data centers.
Insulation Sheets
These are sheets that are usually used to cover ducts to ensure the air inside the ducts maintains the desired temperature while moving from one point to the other. They come in various thicknesses. The thickness choice is dictated by the temperature difference between the air inside the duct and the ambiance.
PIR panels
These are polyisocyanurate (thermoset plastic) foam used for insulation. They normally come sandwiched between two metal sheets.
Pipe Hanging Accessories
These are devices used to suspend pipes and anchor them.
Cold Room Doors
These are insulated doors complete with gasket to prevent any infiltration of air to the cold room when the door is closed. They come in different types and sizes. They may be insulating or semi-insulating.
